Ohio’s Foster Care & Adoption (FC&A) agency sought a new website on the ODX platform to raise awareness of the urgent need for foster and adoptive parents across the state. We were tasked with developing an experience that balanced emotional sensitivity, clarity of information, and strict government and platform constraints.

Content & digital strategist – Discovery and strategy lead
I led the discovery and content strategy phases before handing over to design, development, and copywriting teams. My focus was on aligning user needs, agency priorities, and platform limitations into a coherent strategic foundation for the new site.

Conducted creative workshops and one-on-one stakeholder interviews to uncover emotional barriers, informational gaps, and operational requirements.
Content strategy & IA development
Created the content strategy to support prospective parents through an emotionally complex and highly regulated journey.
Developed the editorial plan and information architecture, ensuring clarity while respecting state policy, legal requirements, and ODX platform constraints.
Structured content paths to reduce cognitive load and help users quickly understand eligibility, process steps, and available support.
Collaboration & governance
Worked closely with design, government stakeholders, and compliance teams to ensure all content recommendations adhered to state guidelines.
Prepared the foundations for designers, developers, and copywriters to translate strategy into a build-ready experience.
